British Pop Art

Chrissy/ March 25, 2016/ Homepage, Uncategorized/ 0 comments

I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t fascinated with Britain. It started with the language. The accent is great to be sure but I just love their vocabulary! That particular joy started young as I remember how much I loved reading Roald Dahl as a kid. And when I got a bit older, Jane Austen made her way into

Pug Life

Chrissy/ February 10, 2015/ Uncategorized/ 1 comments

Here I thought I was being so clever with the pug life pun. Oh how silly I was. There are literally thousands of them. One of my faves is below. And I have to admit, I kind of love them all. It’s so silly how we anthropomorphise our animals. I do it all the time and it never gets boring.

Olive and the Interview

Chrissy/ December 18, 2014/ Art, Blog, Uncategorized/ 0 comments

I was so happy to create this portrait of Olive for Barbara. This sweet chocolate lab is an older girl – 14 in fact – and her pose and posture are representative of that fact that she’s having a harder time sitting up lately. We’re all going to get old someday. I can only hope I can do it

When I started creating dog and cat portraits for people, it never occurred to me that someone might like that technique applied to a llama. Enter my friend Jenn and her husband Matt who went on a trip to Peru, fell in love with the llamas and never looked back. They loved them so much that they had llama themed

At the CBA Fine Arts Show this past weekend I sold the collage of the chocolate lab. It was purchased by my friends father for her son (his grandson) and I think he kinda likes it. Today, I got this text with this picture of the dog Chocolate. The little cutie drew a picture of the collage. He’s in a

Gatsby’s Flowers

Chrissy/ February 7, 2014/ Uncategorized/ 0 comments

I recently had an opportunity to do flowers for a 1920’s Gatsby style party. The design concept that we came up with was white flowers with turquoise and peacock feathers, glittery butterflies and gold draping beads from each centerpiece. I was thrilled with how everything turned out. See for yourself!

CBA Fine Art Show and Sale

Chrissy/ January 25, 2014/ Uncategorized/ 0 comments

Hey there all your cowpokes. (I don’t know why I just said that.) I’ll be participating in the CBA Fine Art Show and Sale coming up on February 8th and 9th. It’s in Lincroft, NJ and it promises to be a good one. They’ve been doing the show for 39 years, so they know what they’re doing. I’ve got some
