I’m a collage and mixed media artist from New Jersey. My work covers a lot of ground from landscapes and cityscapes to pet portraits to British iconography. (No I’m not British but I play a Brit on TV.)

I’ve always been an artist but I never quite knew where to place my focus. I had done all kinds of work from painting, ceramics, print making, even floral design. But then, one day, for no particular reason, I started cutting up a magazine into little squares and made an abstract collage. It was really fun.

It never occurred to me that other people might like it until I was asked to participate in the Studio Tour by my friend Jeremy and I put that piece in the show. It was a hit. Everyone asked about it and wanted to see more.

Fast forward to my birthday and my sister-in-law got me a portrait of my dog. I cried when I saw it - it’s just so lovely. But it also got me thinking and that day I created a portrait of my dog. I put that portrait of my dog in a show, along with a bunch of other collage ideas that I had and I was in business. My dog portrait sold, I had a commission for another portrait and was over the moon. I finally found a perfect creative outlet.

Since that portrait, I have just expanded my repertoire into landscapes, cityscapes and embellished prints. I don’t know where it’ll end up but I’m enjoying the ride.
